Week 7 - Day 1

Went to the gym this morning and ran on the treadmill. Worked up a real good sweat. Only had two 1 minute walk breaks. Felt pretty good, and completed 1.5 miles (2.414 Km) in 18:50.

Been feeling pretty good. I've been getting lots of compliments on how I am looking and yet the scaled doesn't seem to be going down at all. My body shape is definitely changing and Cindy says my legs are getting way more muscles from the running. It's just a little disheartening when you don't see the scale move a whole lot. But all my pants are loose, I've moved up two belt holes on my belt and overall I know I am slimming down, just not losing as much weight as I would like. Oh well, it will come I guess.

My ab (that I tweaked at the gym) that has been really bothering me (like can't get out of bed properly bothering) seems to be feeling better and I don't have the twinge of pain when I sit up. So I'm going to resume my pushups and sit-ups at night.

Not to worry buddy the scale may not change at all Muscle is 2.214x heavier by volume than the same amount of fat. I was disheartened myself with the same thing but my body fat percentage went down 14% in just over a year with only 11pounds of total wieght loss.

Stay focused your hard work is already paying off it just takes time for your mind to realize it

talk to you soon

Mike is right. This is why the scale isn't always the best measure to go by. Instead use how your clothes fit and such. Although I do know where you're coming from, I wish I would notice a change in myself. I think that would excite and encourage me anymore.

I think you should ignore the scale and focus on the compliments and your clothes instead. It will be better for you in the end.

Hey -- I have trouble getting out of bed because of my abs too!! (tee hee hee!)

And I say -- banish the scale. It's evil.
