Vegas Day 4 - The journey home

Well after staying up until 4 am on Friday, we slept as late as we could before getting up and going to the airport. Let me share something with you, the Las Vegas airport is a zoo, when you couple that with signage that is lacking to say the least and some really questionable workforce planning it was not a good time. We waited quite awhile at the Delta check-in counter as they slowly checked the line through. What was amusing to me was that there was maybe 50 people in the coach line with 3 employees checking in passengers, while in the First Class line there was no one with 3 employees checking in first class passengers. Then at 10:30 am out of the 6 people checking in passengers, 4 went on their 10:30 coffee break!!! Wow, really? To say the least I wasn't happy. After finally making it through the check-in process we headed up to security, again another zoo. But this one seemed to be sufficiently staffed and even though there were hundreds of people descending on the Gate D security check-point every few minutes, the line moved quickly and we were through in no time. After that we stopped and had a quick breakfast and hopped our plane to Salt Lake City.

Once in Salt Lake we had a Cinnabon, a Starbucks and watched some internet videos to pass the time. Finally we boarded our plane and were on our way home to Calgary. Arriving in Calgary we were glad to be greeted by our families and headed home. Below are some photos of some t-shirts I bought the kids from Vegas.
